Hi Crew, I finally made time to fit the BB into my Merckx Strada as a
Saturday job, and as luck would have it, the threads on the fixed cup
side are nearly non-existant and has a groove that will make re-tapping
impossible. What is the best solution? Is there a quality 70 BB out
there that can be fitted without requiring a threaded shell that will
accept a SR crank?
BTW, thanks for all the help a week or so ago regarding the Edco/Simplex
der. situation I was in. It is quite humbling to be amongst a group that
is so generous with its assistance.
