In a week or so I'll be posting a web page of a "Masi visit" in 1972, with photos and text. The material is from a gentleman in Texas who stopped by to order a bike and while there took quite a few pictures. One thing he mentioned was how much time Faliero spent with him, not just measuring for the frame, but asking about the type of riding he did and so forth. Faliero specced a complete bike, right down to each cog on the freewheel. He was, by this person's account, quite concerned with the smallest details. This story is not unique... I've heard variations on the theme from Doug Fattic and Michael Allison, and of course Brian. I don't think Faliero earned the nickname "The Tailor" just from his concern with bare frames.
