Peter, I asked a friend at Peugeot USA back then, "What's the dang deal..." and was told the PZ 10 D was originally spec'd for Peugeot dealers in West Germany ("D" = Deutschland) and they then added it to all their markets world wide.

What were they thinking with a "Full Campy" Peugeot? My guess is that they wanted to sell bikes and some customers wanted their Peugeots to be equipped with the best parts available! <GRIN>
