One of the delights of having a complete collection of the Sporting Cyclist and International Cycle Sport magazines in the house is that the British "characters" of cycling like Burton, Simpson, Hetchins, Hoban, etc. have become as familiar to me as our own John Howard, Mike Neel, George Mount, etc.

With a stack of those magazines always by the bedstand, I'm nightly pouring over those bikes trying to discern the frames and components. It's really a joy.
