Subject: [CR]Algurn Pics: Built bike

Some quick and hasty pics of the rebuilt refurbished Algurn, because I said I would.

But I'm also trying to pack for a holiday (no riding, alas) so it's not as many shots as I'd like, and captions will have to wait.

The build is a mix of sorta-period correct parts (Stronglight 49 cranks, GB CP brakes, bars, stem, Reg handlebar cage, Brooks B-17) and incorrect 70's parts used either because I wanted wider gears than a period set could accomodate (Campy Rally rear mech, with a matching front changer and DT levers, with a Suntour Ultra six 13-32 freewheel) or it's parts I've had and have been itching to use such as the wheels (Campy HF, 36 spoke, laced to Mavic Module E 27 inch rims shod with the excellent 27 & 1/4 Panaracer Paselas). I'm not totally happy with the orange bar tape, but I had it and wanted to try it. The bike is probably going to get shellacked bars when I get some time.

One last go around of thanks: To Mick Butler who found the frame for me, Mike Barry and the gang at Bicycle Specialties for the respray, Brian Frank who I believe did the artwork and computer massaging on the reproduction decals, and Steve WIllis at the Bike Stand who helped me get it put together (No! No! Don't run the cable through there first!) As with all my bikes, this one is a group CR effort.

Anyway, I'm dragging off to bed so I can get up early and hop on a plane to someplace warm. Happy holidays to everyone, and see you next year.
