Subject: [CR]Gillott Road Path fit

Hi Aaron, a man with 30 Gillotts here and loving it. Let me know the serial number and I can date it exactly for you. That will help decide equipment too. Here's a thought. Wheels. Fiamme sprints with large flange Airlites or Campagnolo with double fixed on rear. Cyclo chain adjusters. Track nuts. Flint catchers. Pennine or EDCO Co2 bottle. Vit bottle cage on Down tube, clamped on. Chainset. Early Campagnolo Pista for the wealthy. I would favour Stronglight 49D with a single 1/8th ring. Chater Lea, BSA and Williams was a bit 'Old School' by then and everything had to be 'Alloy' Pedals, Campagnolo for the wealthy. Lyotard Marcel Berthet. Christophe old logo clips.
Brakes. Mafac Racers. Mafac levers. Bars and stem . Cinelli steel or Titan stem with GB Maes. Terrys stopwatch holder
Saddle Brooks B17 Champion narrow or the ultimate combo of Campagnolo seatpost and special Brooks Campagnolo saddle. I have something very similar to this. It is a 1959 Gillott road path with Nervex lugs. What lugs are yours? I should mention that if it is post 1958 it is 100% sure to have been built by Ron Cooper.
