Peter said that the "Luxe" stem was the better model as the name would suggest. I agree, however, I have a bar and stem combo from an old Crescent (the bars are perhaps the most ergonomic flat bars I have ever used) and the bar-holding portion of the stem was welded in such that it is not 100% horizontal and my handlebars are higher on the left! It's not just a little bit either and is more noticeable on these wider bars! Nice engraving: M Kint, A Schotte, S Maes, V Steenbergen. Year of manufacture is '71. Chalk it up to lesser quality control at the height of the boom.
