Re, Long reach brakes. had the same problem with my 1950s Vittoria Frame, Made in Italy I am sure this was built for 27" wheels, I tried everything could NOT find ANY brakes that would reach, Finally at Denver Velo Swap, Mike Kone had a pair of Universal Center Pulls, they have NO 51 or 61 or any#s on them JUST Universal, BUT they work!!! I also have some Baillia center pulls and Mafac none will work with this frame, drop bolts seem the answer, UNLESS you can be luck and fimd as I did Universals, Try Mike Kone I think he does have some side pulls also that will fit Cheers John Crump.
