Re, Bayliss Wiley freehub. I had two, one I sold a few weeks ago, the other is built into 27 1 1/14 Dunlop rim, is on my 1938 Claud, with a 3 speed Cyclo gear, As I understand it from prev article in VCC or Boneshaker mag, small flange was pre war, large flange post war, So they where made back to the 30s or 40s???( In my home town of Birmingham) the thing that I like about them, and is possibly the reason they where made, is that you can put single fixed cogs 3, 1/8 cogs or four 3/32 cogs, the one I sold also had a 5 speed cog fixed block that screwed on, to remove the cogs is a chore, but can be done by undoing the cone one side and then unscrewing the cogs, they seem well made BUT very heavy, John Crump Oldbrit.
