Subject: [CR]Campy hub rebuilding

What is the original intent of the oilable Campy hub. My Record hubs seemed better before I rebuilt them today. Of course, the original Campy grease had contracted into a useless paste of yellow uchh. However both hubs had been periodically oiled with a thin lubricant through the oil hole. When I rebuilt them the races and cones were undamaged, so I rebuilt using Phil Woods waterproof, and followed with a little Finish line teflon through the holes to dilute the Phil Woods. Was the original intent to use only a touch of grease and follow with oil only each month, or was the idea to use a full quotient of grease and over time to dilute until they ran like fine clocks? My hubs now feel just like nice hubs but don't spin effortlessly as they did before.
