Things have been too calm the past few days... This was a topic a week ago; and I imagine has been oft in the past: What is the real purpose of outing bikes etc bike stuff seen on ebay? If one is not an avid bidder - and I think there must be exceptions ala eleemosynary divulgence - why do so many folks choose to reveal items underway. Nothing earthshaking when under rubric of 'vintage parts' etc, but when more hidden in deeper space of ebay.intl. What happened to joys of finding secreted treasures (and keeping them secret) and to competition even among friends and fellow-CR folks? Those who dig (and/or luck out) stand a chance of good buys, and those who don't - but likely will another time - do not. So, I lodge my complaint, however much grumpily. Speaking out against plenary outings of cooler things offered from dimmer and obscure EmBayments.
