The seller now says "At first I did not see the difference you were talking about w/the cast in stop on the derailleur - I checked my derailleur and it IS NOT the same. Mine is like a normal N/R rear derailleur, the steel parts are a little different, but it is basically the same as a later N/R derailleur w/the threaded stop pin for the cage, not like the one on the photo."

So it is definitely NOT a first-generation NR. So this is official warning to all who were planning to snipe it to astronomical prices based on my bonehead goof: It's really just another cheap but kinda nice 60s racing bike.

Once again, I apologize for posting info about classic lightweights to the Lance bashing list. JUST KIDDING!
