"Indeed, I recall that my PX-10 was 21#, just as Peter Kohler stated. My Masi 3V Volumetrica is 23#. Anyone riding the two would immediately not ice that the Modern Masi is faster and more responsive to pedal pressure."

Don't doubt it for a moment! Weight is not everything. My Cinelli SC is faster getting off, better on turns and better at ferocious finishes (well

as ferocious as this 47-year-old duffer gets!). The PX is faster overall on straights and gradual climbs; there is something about the frame geometry that discourages off the saddle ascents whereas the Cinelli wants you to get off your butt and work a bit. The best bike I have for descents is m y '80 Raleigh Team Pro; she weighs 19 3/4 lbs and I notice the lightness going downhill? Hmmm. But the 753 tubing is what makes the difference with her over anything else I've ridden. Best ride ever despite the tight angles. Makes one wonder what a 753 Peugeot or Cinelli would be like. ..!
