This one struck a note with me. I wasn't going to post because I only have one bike thing on my office wall.

A needlepoint of a seagull with the caption "life has a reason", completed by my sister before she died of breast cancer in 1998
A knick knack shelf made for me by my spiritual mentor days before he died of liver disease(2004). By the by he was a fine wood worker evidenced by the frame he made for my seagull needlepoint and his collaboration with my dad making my daughters cradle, it shows the ravages of his disease but I like it better than any thing else he did.
A shimano crane GS (bought 1974 and retired 1982 worn out) which was the first real bike component I ever bought with my own money and a cast bronze thing that was given to me by the man who bequeathed me his 3 wall library. (2004)
My license papers and many sticky notes reminding me of all the things I'm supposed to be doing.

Who's on my wall?
No Lance. No Eddy. No bicycles, just..
..my wife & life companion who lost her battle with cancer in 2001 in NY (that terrible year & month for so many). Ella was a talented photographer from the old school (Nikon F's & range finders). I plan to hang her sepia tone and black & white images all over. How do I go on? One day at a time, pondering life on bike rides, and by giving of time & heart to charitable causes. That's what keeps me going. You didn't ask, but maybe another fellow cyclist will remember my thoughts here.
