Could someone please explain why this frame on eBay is worth the price it is currently standing at, other than that for some reason 2 people seem to desperately want it?

Two male egos, pure and simple. Prior to the bidding war, it max'ed at about 200 quid.
That frame has a hole drilled in the downtube (with a pop-rivit installed) near the most highly-stressed area of the whole unit!
