Subject: [CR]T-town swap report and EBAY outtings.

Went on down to Trexlertown knowing it was mainly a social call for the 1st annual summer swap...although VERY FEW vendors at all, the vintage crowd was still scoping the lands. Many CR and BOB members were in attendance and once again I got to put some faces with names again. I mainly went down for the changing of the guard in handing off a early 50s MacLean to a proud new owner, Charlie Young, while taking a few other scraps with me with not much ambition to sell them or find anything worth while...boy was I glad I went. Although not period hitting in the CR guidelines, I managed to score a nicely built up complete Bianchi Cro-Mo Cross bicycle in my size for what I believed was an exceptional deal so I sprung on it while others hovered around the same bike....it now sits proudly in my basement after its first ride when I got home and I am quite pleased.

So other than that find, I was able to be entertained by the vendor "across the way" and watch his unique sales techniques in action...and I was able to watch some cool track racing of the Junior National Championships. Managed to keep awake for the ride home and posted some items to ebay that have vintage content. Til the fall...when there will be no booth for me and much more browsing!!! ebay items: Search under user name: wspokes or see items here...
