Jeffrey and all...

When my folks had a shop, there was a guy who used to bring in a Liberia. His was reynolds 531 as well, but didn't have the sew ups. There were SO many bikes punched out in the 70s bike boom...I remember him telling me it was made by Gitane and labled differently which doesn't sound so far fetched as Gitane outsourced for many different names if I remember correctly including Riviere, which I had one of these...

hope the info helps.

I have a bicycle that was purchased new by my father in law in the early late 1970's or early 1980's. It is a Liberia. It is made in France with Simplex alloy rear deraillure, Simplex front deraillure, Mafac center pu ll brakes, Stronglight crank and headset, Super Champion sew up rims, Nor mandy hubs, Reynolds 531 tubing etc.

I can't find any info on this company. It has a pretty intricate paint j ob and decals but needs to be restored. Does anyone know anything about this brand?

Thanks,
