Subject: [CR]In Praise of Elliott Bay Bicycles -- Seattle

Just returned from a ride out west and had the great pleasure of spending an hour or two at the shop of Bob Freeman and Bill Davidson on 2116 Western Ave. in Seattle. I was in desperate need of a part -- the bolt to Nitto stem -- and luckily was sent by our breakfast waitress to a shop just around the corner. It turned out to be Elliott Bay Bicycles, with its very fine collection of vintage bikes, including classic Paramounts, Masis, Hetchins and on and on. The shop is a must if you get anywhere near Pike Place Market, and Bob's daily rider is one of the finest specimens you'll ever see. Thanks, Bob, for your help and generosity.
