few showed up on early Carlsbads as well. It had Falliero's sig panto'ed on the sides, and tapered milled slots on top (the front one in yellow, the rear one in blue). In '74 it was part of a package of components that included milled-out shift levers lined in yellow, milled seatpost (blue and yellow fill), milled chainrings, and Masi-engraved ttt bars. You can see all of them ona bike at speedbicycles.com (click on the museum and look for the '74 GC).<

The 1974 Italian GC's were panto'd with Alberto's name rather than Faliero's on the stem( as well as having Alberto's signature decal on the top tube). Here's pics of another just like the one on Speedbicycles.com:

Jay;

Aaargh! Brain fart. You're right of course... '74 would be Alberto. But the stem on the '73 Ferretti bike on eBay has Faliero's signature (and it's probably older than '73 since Masi was into the twin plate crowns by 9/72 at least... this one has a Fischer).
