Subject: [CR]1954 Campy hub?

I was cleaning some old wheels from my stash today and found one with a front Campy hub that appears to be from 1954, but it's beyond my expertise to know for sure. Both axle nuts say "CAM 54". It's large flange with the world logo. It does NOT say "Record". It has an oil hole with clip. To add to the unusual qualities of this hub, it has gun-metal gray anodizing (I suspect the anodizing was done after-market, not by Campy, but does anyone know whether campy ever did this factory original?). So does this sound like a genuine 1954 Campy hub?

Thanks,

David
