After I remove the spear from my side, I'll get up from the ground, wipe some of the grit off, hobble over to my bike and try to make my way home as unnoticeably as possible.

Ughhhh..... salesmen never got any respect. Hey , you think it was God's idea to make the World? Nahhhhh... it was a salesmen; got a good commission for it too. Ya gotta sell the idea; we're all salesmen. Most of us just forgot how good we were. Remember when you sold your mom on the idea of a little candy GIVING you a BETTER appetite for dinner? Selling, to those of us that do it well, IS an art. Now I got this bridge.....

Classic content: rode home from Manhattan last evening on my newly acquired mid 1960's Frejus track bike; all original (Campy, Ambrosio adj. stem, Nisi rims, WOW), "PEACHES and CREAM" colors. Ya'all know what that is? Iffin ya don't, take a looksee at the Frejus section in Dale's site for a sumptuous N.O.S. example that sold last year on e-bay. Pearl white and salmon pink! A cop and three bike messengers gave the "NICE BIKE" complement while on the road too! And there's this HUGE candy factory ("Ike and Mike" brand for one) I pass on the way home in Brooklyn and boy, did that sweet perfume put a smile on my face. I wish youse all could a been there for that one.
