For Sale, 1974 (I think) Raleigh Pro frame. Framesize 23-1/4" (59cm) center-to-top; top tube is 22-1/4" (56.5cm). Silver, with black head tube and seat tube panels and gold striping. With a fork from a Motobecane Grand Record, which is not as bad as it sounds - you won't believe what a perfect match it is, the exact same silver, with black highlights on the crown and gold striping, 531 blades, Campy dropouts, the same domed ends, chrome halfway up the blades. It looks MORE correct than the real fork in a way, because the crown is an outside-lugged crown, unlike the real Raleigh fork which used an internal crown with no lug edges on the outside, more suitable for lugless frames in my opinion. Ok, I know having the wrong fork shoots its collectors' item status but I hope I have priced it accordingly. I am only selling because it's a little too small for me.
As far as I can tell it is straight and undented. Somewhat rusty in several painted areas, but the chrome is very good. I believe the rust is shallow, sort of a stain coming through the paint; the paint is not blistering. The paint is scratched and worn in many places and some of the decals are shot. I will supply the correct replacement Reynolds 531 transfer for the seat tube, you apply it. Comes with the proper Campy rear dropout adjusting screws.
Add $30 for a like-new Campy Record (NR) headset, installed with fresh brand new Campy balls & retainers.
The correct stem for this bike would be a 3ttt Record, and it needs to be French diameter (22.0mm) due to the Motobecane fork - I will supply one if you want for $10 extra, 115 mm, scratched and worn but structurally fine. I also have the proper GB brand bars with the "map of England" engraving, also a bit scratched and worn, for another $10 extra.

Please note, the pictures show the extra-cost optional headset and stem installed. The picture "TT_rust.jpg" shows the underside of the top tube, which I think is the worst rust on the bike. The place where the tire rubbed the left chainstay has paint missing only, no metal removed. I did not clean the frame at all before taking these photos; a little rubbing with polishing compound would improve the looks of it substantially I think, though it will never be a show bike. Take the rest of that mangled Carlton seat tube decal off, and clean the grunge around the forkblade 531 decals please!
