The first time I tried that, the second my legs broke out of their sockets and started to flail, they took out my arms at the shoulder sockets.

Sadder buy wiser, I popped everything back into their respective sockets and tried it again, this time being careful to keep my arms out of the way of my flailing legs.

But you are absolutely correct, this is the fastest way down a hill as long as you keep your arms close to your sides. And to remember to relax of course!
