Subject: [CR]British Bike theme , DC area??

Greetings from Northern Virginia! I will be riding to the "Hunt Country British Car Classic" on Sunday, Oct 9 . . This is an event that takes place every two years and is a show of outstanding classic cars, and just about every MG/Austin Healey/ Morgans etc etc in the region shows up to attend . .It takes place at an estate in the Middleburg/The Plains area in VA. , this particular estate is on one of the very beautiful roads common to popular cycling routes in the area . It occurred to me that this might be a good British bike theme ride and a chance to ooh and ahh over bikes and vintage British autos (classic bike content ? ?, debating over which British car owner of the day would also be the owner of the classic bike you're riding, , , probably the small Austins and Morris cars , I bet ). . this ride is also in conjuction with PotomacPedlarsTouringClub , (note: not an event ride, just a scheduled club ride, visitors welcome) . . If you haven't ridden in this area it has some of the most georgeous roads, scenery in the region, and the route I have planned is rolling with short hills , no killer hills, appropriate for fixed gear if you are used to riding in rolling terrain, route will be about 35miles and will ride out of The Plains, VA If this is of interest, , pass it around to others in our community of classic bicycles, and get back to me if interested.

regards, Tom Roberson, Gainesville, VA
