I was a little surprised, and pleased, I suppose, to see that this Colnago went as high as it did:

If that rear derailleur is original to the bike, and by certain other details, this one was made 1977-1978. Graphics were different in 1975 on stock bikes. Customs were a whole different business. You could get any graphics you wanted.

I guess I wouldn't have expected one of that vintage to go that high, esp. without wheels (the original wheels were extra). People like to diss Colnagos, of any era, but those of us who like 'em, *like* 'em..<g>

These late 70s bikes are very tasty, and there are more of them around than of the earlier ones. It's worth looking for them.
