Subject: [CR]DD pedal bearing adjustment

The bearing setup is all locked together by a set screw that butts into the end of the axle. The set screw is accessed from the outboard side of the pedal. IIRC, it is left hand threaded. Use an allen wrench to stabilize the axle (from the inboard side of the crank, behind a light blue plastic cap on the AX models) and one to unlock the set screw. Hold the pedal body and change the bearing adjustment from the inboard side with an allen wrench. The thread is coarse (and may also be left-handed... one or both of them is), so small rototions make a big change. As with all cup/cone bearings, the adjustment is altered when you lock it down, in this case with that setscrew. Between the coarse thread and the changes implied by the set screw, it may take several attempts to get it right. Good luck. More questions, just ask.
