Earlier in the week list members were doubting the genuineness of an eBay offer that was being made by a seller in Glasgow of a Scot for which he provided no photographs, just a head badge photo lifted from Bob Reids website. This seller had a strange and unusual strategy, which was to register on ebay.com, instead of ebay.co.uk, offer the frame as a collect only, and then bar bidders from the UK from bidding! The outcome is that it sold to a US list member for 10 dollars! The photographs the seller sent me did not show enough detail to be able to verify for sure that it was a Scot, but all the signs were that it was in fact a 1940s model which, I hope for the buyer's sake, turns out to be bargain of the year.
