Subject: [CR]Hetchins Headbadges.

I've had a lot f Hetchins over the last 39 years, but have pared the collection down to about twelve.

In and amongst the various frames that dated from the 1930s up to 1982, I have come across a number of different types of headbadges, more often than not a pressed and embossed aluminium model. I've had flat brass metal plates too with slight embossing, almost like a plate that lacked its enamel.

Recently I bought a headbadge on eBay that, in the photos, looked liked an aluminium one that had sufferd from too heavy sand-blasting. I was very pleased to note, when I unwrapped it, that it was an immaculate cast brass model, quite heavy with a thickness of almost 5/32". There were no signs of any enamelling.

I wonder whether this is original. and if so, from what period. I even wonder whether someone has gone to the trouble of casting it specially.

Can any of you Hetchinsphiles help me out on this one, please?
