I actually had the experience of acquiring a "missing" bike and then meeting the owner through the CR list. After purchasing an OT Clark Kent at a yard sale w/o a fork I inquired on the list about a replacement fork. (I didn't know it was OT but Dale brought this to my attention.) A list member gave me a name and number for a cyclist back east who happened to have a fork for just that kind of bike. After a short conversation with the gentleman we both realized that I had the frame that went with the fork. I offered to return the frame, giving up my investment, but he declined and I bought the fork for the frame. It now hangs unused in my shop. Perhaps he had received an insurance settlement for the frame? Paul Patzkowsky Longmont, Colorado
