Interesting that Dave Yates came up as a topic recently. Here is his web page:

http://www.daveyatescycles.co.uk/

His shop is now in Lincolnshire.

I own, ride, and love my Dave Yates Super Randonneur, which I bought second hand last year. Here are some links to a photo of the bike in 'action' on last year's Santa Rosa 600km brevet:

(In order, front, side, and rear)

All photos enlarge if you want to scan the details.

The frame/fork is a mix of tubing: 531 for the fork, 631 main tubes and 725 rear stays. The frame is lugged of course.

While I said I love the bike, it wasn't custom made for me and I would (and will) do some things differently if (when) I had (have) a custom frame made for randonneuring.

I hope to be putting up a web page of detailed photos of this and all my other bikes.
