Dan,
     The older Pivo stems can really look quite stunning. For better or worse, they never seem to have updated their designs and at some point the forgings - or castings? - began to look rather ragged. It's as if they never cleaned up their tooling because they felt the end (of their company) was just around the corner.
    Now, I've been referring to their aluminum alloy pieces. I'm certain I've seen chrome steel stems from Pivo that were just beautiful.
