Angelo Cavalli from Casale Monferrato. He was the Molteni team doctor, and "in particular" doctor to Eddy Merckx. As reported by Gazetta dello Sport (the pink sports newspaper that sponsors the Giro...I don't know which came first, the pink paper or the leader's jersey).
My reason for posting this is that I was imagining that untold numbers of people (mechanics, doctors, team managers, etc.) of the era we are interested in are passing on without their recollections being captured.
