I know that the Masi name was bought by Schwinn. I believe that my Masi Nuova Strada was produced just before this occured because it does not look at all like the one Schwinn produced. It was pretty cheap by bike standards. I think I paid 1,000
The reason I'm asking on here is it says it was made in Italy. The bottom bracket is stamped Masi. The frame is black with fine metal flake in it. I got it around '99-'00 and I can not find any information this bike. Was it made by Masi Italy. Who made it? Was it subcontracted out? Basicly what is the story behind this bike?
