Yesterday Nigel Land kindly informed members of the sad news about Ernie
Clement's passing Again another cycling great whose memory will live on
by those hundreds of enthusiasts who knew him and those who will
remember by name only. As there are many owners of Falcon cycles in
this country and across the seas I am especially surprised at the lack
of tributes to him from list members both from the UK and USA. I did not
know him personally but he being one of my generation he was an
inspiration to people like myself over the years. Someone once said ,
one cannot buy experience it has to to be earned and this man achieved
that ten times over. He will be sadly missed but leaves behind a wealth
of knowledge for us all learn from ,surely the best legacy anyone could
wish for!
