Hi everyone,

I'm writing on a account of Mrs. Berry Doleman; widowed wife of former list member Tyrone Doleman. She's a sellin' off all o' Ty's ol' bicycles and bicycle parts.

I guess I ought ta tell ya'll a lil' bit about myself:

My name is Hank Loin. However I was a punter in High School and ever' time I punted that ball it when straight up in the air....on purpose! Not because I couldn't kick the dern thing, but because our offense was so sorry that we couldn't score touchdowns! I couldn't kick field goals because I had so dern much power in ma leg that the ball would explode ever' time I kicked it. So as a result of kickin' that ball straight up in the air they nicknamed me "Shank." It grew on me. Even named one of ma kids "Shank."

I live down here in a small city called Nederland (South of Beaumont.) I was born in 1933 am 73 years old and fought in Korea from '51-'53 (just a child.)

Tyrone Doleman lived in the nearby city of Vidor. He was a lil' older than me and was a real wild one. Our parents knew each other from the Baptist church so that's how he 'n' I met.

Now back to these here bicycle parts--I'm sorting all of Ty's old parts, putting like parts in boxes and tryin' to make sense of all this. I'm clenching some old cranking rods that look like they is marked with the word Magistrate or somethin'. Anybody familiar with these rods?

Thank you all and very pleased to be here.
Shank Loin
