I am considering the somewhat controversial 19-cross pattern on the rear and a 15-cross on the front. That way the spokes pull against the most "meat" possible. It would also give the wheels a very lacy look, with all the crosses woven alternately.

PS another approach would be to leave them un-tensioned and use these wheels for show only...
