I'm not sure whether different regulations apply to different destinations when posting large items out from France, but I wouldn't have thought so, but maybe there are regs for countries outside the Euriope zone

I often receive frames from France, these being in largish boxes that are well over the 1metre in circumference size, and there is never any a problem. As I recall the system is called Colisssimo for larger parcels and Colieco for smaller ones. There used to be an air-mail system called Chronoposte for sending parcels quickly. It was, possibly is, still very efficient and cost effective. It could be that Colisssimo has replaced it.

I will attempt to check further, but I am sure that some of the regular French sellers on Ebay such as RH Classics, Rocvale etc must have some detail on their adverts.
