Steve,

The consensus on these has been that most people find they are a soft rim and develop flat spots rather easy. My experience has been quite different; I use and have used them extensively and although in my lighter days (155lbs) I had no issues, I continue to have no issues with them to this day and I'm in the 185lb. range now. I don't know if this has any bearing on my success with them, but I've only ever used them with large flange hubs; that's by coincidence but may be a factor? List?

My favorite period clincher rim continues to be the Mavic Mod E2 but they are extremely difficult to find whereas the Rigida 13/19 or 13/20 are, relatively speaking, more common.
