I've never seen those hubs in the flesh. I have original 72 and 73 Paramounts, but they have ordinary Campy Record HF hubs.

I am dealing on a '70s Paramount that is original right down to its' tires. It has the Schwinn "Mistake" hubs, I am told. I looked under Schwinn mistake hubs in the archives and find nothing. Perhaps they are properly called by another name? I have some questions about them, but mainly are they safe to haul my 200+# self around on? What years were they used? How many of them were there? Were all of them double drilled? Anything else I should be asking? Sure hope some of the many folks with Paramount expertise can help out here. Tom Sanders Lansing, Mi
