Hi all, well I finally got to have a look at the old Record FD body I recently got. Its pretty much the same as the FD that Peter N has on eBay at the moment, but I'm sure his has steel pivot pins, and the longer bottom one has a groove machined all the way around it. Mine are alloy, and the longer bottom one has a single groove in it, very unsure wether its made that way or wether its just due to old age, but I suspect it was made that way. I've looked up time lines with no mention of what I have. Mine also has a broken cable stop at the bottom, so unable to say wether it was slotted or not. The front band is picked out in black, don't know wether this is factory or not.

I bought this from another local guy, came fitted with 4 hole cage, thats why I bought it really, but know I have a nice lightweight body, after a bit of cleaning up I could end up with one of the lightest Record FD with just about a factory look.

Would be nice to know something about this older item, can provide pics if desired....regards wayne davidson Invers NZ...........
