Found myself in Brum on Monday, had some time to kill before I delivered a VIP Daimler Sovereign so searched the charity shops and found a beautiful copy of the history of "The Southern Wheelers". Fascinating read and I see on the PB page for 1955 the name D.Smith. Is that you Doug? Pretty rapid times for the period 25.47, 1 03 11, 1 23 27, 2 10 24, 4 43 39 and 231 for the 12. Were these all on the lumpy Sussex roads? No wonder you were fit and quick with Handcross, Ditchling, Thundersbarrow, Harrow and Peas Pottage hill all in the county! What bike did you own then? Take care and be lucky Mick B.

Thats all for now. Keep those wheels spinning, in your memories if not still on the road. Be lucky Mick Butler Huntingdon UK.
