The condition of frame, and the optional Campy "non scripted" first generation of brake set are the key. Some Japanese buyer could have bouhgt the brake set only for over 1.500.00??

I questioned him about "LUG" on the frame wheather theywere Mervex or Prugnat. The answer was; Prugnat, in our discussion in the past, Chrome Paramount was

such a hot seller in late 60's (this was 1969 model) to early 70's, they run ou t Nervex lugs, and they substituted with Prugnat, but buyer complained and got back to Nervex?

This story (at lest to me) is not back by my fact findings, because I own (1-2 ratio) and have seen MORE Prugnat than Nervex in past 5 years, in bike show, this list and eBay etc..

I think at this point, the Schwinn wanted / attempt to swith the Chrome Paramount lugs from Nervex to Prugnat, because the reason as easier-cleaner to finish up in mass

production??

What do other Papamount specialist think about this GUESSING??

Have a great day!
