Subject: [CR]WTB: Very nice postwar English Path Racer

Greetings all.

Have been looking for quite a while and have yet to come across anything that inspires me. Thought I had located something six months ago but it did not pan out so this is try number 2.

Looking for a quality English "Path Racer" from postwar up until circa 1965. Trackends required - I want to set this up for inch-pitch fixed gear.

Need traditional 23 or 23 1/2 inch in size, measured from center to top.

I would really love a Gillott, Hurlow lugged Condor something of that ilk.

Would also consider a very nice Italian track bike in 58-59 cm size (measured c-c).

Can offer cash of course or various mostly track parts in trade.

Will consider framesets or complete bikes. In original pristine condition, restored and repainted, or in need of restoration.

Your bike will be going to a loving home to join my very modest collection which I have promised the spousal unit will remain in the single digits. Bike will be ridden occasionally but not frequently. I would expect to be its steward for the next 10 to 15 years or so before looking for a loving home to adopt it.

thanks for your consideration. let me know what you have that you can consider parting with.

Off-list of course!
