So do I. One of my minor accomplishments was getting my regular cycling bud about two years ago to buy a 1979 Raleigh Competition GS through a CR member. It was great to see an 18-year-old discover this stuff and reall y enjoy it. For awhile at least. Fleeting fancies are what teens are all
about for last time we met up he said he had largely given up cycling for weightlifting because girls liked muscles not skinny cyclists. Hmm.. I failed with the lad obviously and we must have been cycling with the wrong
crowd. Or maybe Raleigh Comps are not the babe magnets that Cinellis and
especially PX-10s are.
But sure... CR List era cycling has the potential to be "hot" with f olks who weren't even born during its timeline. Afterall, if long 1970s hair came come back, so can the cycling caps and hairnet helmets to go with it.
