Carpenters started in 1919 in North London. This frame is either 54 or 55 one of the numbers relates to the year. They were a well respected builder and built a large number of frames. His last premises were in Surbiton Road, Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey and they were still there in 1964. The shop was located by the corner of Penrhyn Road I believe they had to vacate the shop around 1967 when the nearby Polytechnic buildings were expanded. Just like Hetchins forced out due to redevelopment.
