Jerry, Thanks. Its all French all the time round here these days...

In regards to this discussion and the builders mentioned, there is probably a common theme. Give any one of us a set of lugs to carve, and because of our influences, and when we began our careers, I'm willing to bet the finished pieces would be wide ranging in style. Fancy ala England, plain and handsome ala Italy etc., but they would all probably have a "classic" style, or influence. Give a newbie builder a set of lugs to carve, and the result, could be classic.... OR, the result could just as well look like their inspiration came from the local tatoo parlor!!! I've noticed that this is often the case,,daggers, lightning bolts, skulls, shooting stars... whatever. Their influences and framebuilding heros may not be the same as ours. This isn't a good, or bad thing, just a comment! Wow, tatoo parlor,,, lugs,,, in the same sentence?
