I've never seen a 49D Tri. The mod 99, of which I've seen many, is much more common in America. Was the 49D Tri just a mod 49D with an additional ring? Did the inner ring attach at a smaller BCD than the middle? If the same bolts secured the middle and inner rings, small ring would have been limited to 36T, as the middle (inner on a double) ring on mod 49D was 122 BCD.
