What headtube/seat panel color goes with purple?The 1955 English frame is painted a metallic purple---some what to the lighter side of purple,not the darker or hard purple,and not a pastel(lilac)more of an orchid purple. I had though the head and seat panel were white---but the white is the undercoat.On close exam I found a small patch of silver metallic on the head tube.(I'm the third hand in this restoration and didn't get to see the bike till it was partial sanded).I know the post war English poly-chromatics can easily fool you as to their true color.Gold or silver would be my guess at this point.While this might be a trivial question,the color of the head/seat tube will also effect the color chose of the lining---so I would like any color hints/suggestions,late 50s similar color combinations ya'll might have.The frame is a 1955/58 Fothergill from Liverpool. sam lingo,pleasanton tx
