In 1973 I opened "The Bikeway" in Allentown, PA. I had known Richard for a while prior to that and had visited his shop in Newtown Square. New quality bikes were had to get in early 1973 and Richard had some Follis bikes from the West Coast. He and I would share a load of these very nice French bikes. My first 473 was much better than the PX 10 I had been riding and then the 573 was better again.

Later in 1973 Richard came back from the UK with a couple of Hetchins frames. I took the red one and rode it until 1996.

Richard would provide me with many items that he could buy through his UK connections.

The last time I saw him was at Trexlertown in the 1976-77 timeframe.

Any body know what happened to Richard? His shop was in Newtown Square PA in the late 1960's to early 1970's and King of Prusssia PA about 1974-1975 He had a racing team and sold frames+bikes he imported from England. Just wondering. Charlie Petry in Cochranville PA
