Subject: [CR]Mysterious LEJEUNE markings?

Greetings. I used to own a Lejeune track frame which I believe to have been built roughly around 1973. It was red with a blue head tube and marked with a "Vainqueur du Tour de France" sticker on the head tube as well. I have always wondered about a couple of markings on the frame and thought this list might finally lay to rest some of the mysteries surrounding this frame I once had. The stay caps were stamped "B.Carre". Is this a common stamp on Lejeune's of this period? Perhaps this is the name of a rider? a builder? Also, the underside of the bottom bracket cluster had what appeared to be a serial number sloppily hand scrawled on it. It read "098-32-7607". Does this number fall into sequence of other bikes built around the same period indicating that it is in fact a serial number? Or was this some sort of identification number scratched on at a later date by an owner? Matthew Bowne Brooklyn, New York
